The Image Story

This image is part of my series called Flower Beds. This is where I fill the entire frame with as many flowers of one type as I can.

This is available as a fine art paper print or as canvas wall art.

This image is an electrifying showcase of zinnias, capturing their vibrant, fiery hues in a densely packed, overhead arrangement. The image is a celebration of boldness and vitality, with zinnias in shades of hot pink, fiery red, vivid orange, and soft magenta blending seamlessly into a symphony of saturated colors. The intensity of the palette exudes energy, joy, and the unapologetic brilliance of nature at its peak.

Each bloom, with its layered petals and radiant golden centers, stands out while simultaneously contributing to the collective energy of the piece. The slight variations in petal shapes—from rounded to spiked—add textural richness and visual rhythm, creating a composition that feels both structured and spontaneous.

Emotionally, this artwork is exuberant and celebratory, radiating optimism and passion. It evokes the heat of summer, the fullness of life, and the unapologetic beauty of a garden in full bloom. For a collector, this piece offers a bold and transformative presence—ideal for brightening a space and infusing it with a sense of vitality and dynamic beauty.

Print & Canvas Details

For more detailed print information, see my Print Info Page

Paper Prints

Paper prints have a semi-gloss surface for ease of handling - they don't show fingerprints as easily as other surfaces. This paper surface also has rich, vibrant colors to really showcase the artwork beautifully.

Paper prints come with a 1/4 inch white border for easy framing. This way your image won't be cropped into as much when you mat and frame your print.

If you are interested in a larger white border or something custom, just email me to create a custom order at no additional charge: cp@christinapetersfineart.com.

Canvas Prints

My canvas prints are high end and luxurious. The image is beautifully printed onto thick, archival-grade canvas to ensure durability.

I can't tell you how many times people ask me if my canvas prints are actually paintings. The texture of the canvas gives the piece a gorgeous  painterly quality that looks fantastic very close up and far away.

The surface of the canvas has a very subtle semi-gloss sheen so you don't see any glare coming off the surface.

What's wonderful about my canvas prints is they come ready to hang, no frame needed so there is nothing between you and your art. Each canvas is professionally wired and comes with a hook and nail.

If you prefer framed pieces, these look great with a floater frame, which allows to piece to be framed without glass and without any cropping of the image.

Each canvas is carefully hand-stretched on  thick, solid wood stretcher bars that are 1.5 inches thick so this canvas will never warp or bow over time. Many canvases from other artists are only 3/4 inches thick and will warp or bend over time.

What Does Archival Mean?

All prints and canvases are printed with archival materials.

Archival means something that will last for a minimum of 80 years. To make prints and canvases in an archival method means using papers and canvases that are pH neutral and acid free so there will be no browning or yellowing, and using pigment-based inks instead of dye-based inks which are less stable.

FAQ'S

Who is the photographer?

It's me! Christina Peters. All the fine art images you see on this site were taken by me. I do not resell other artist's images.

Do you use AI to create your artwork?

Absolutely not! All of my artwork was photographed by me using various 35mm, medium format or large format cameras.

I do shoot digitally. I use Capture One pro for capturing, then I edit everything in Photoshop to prepare the images for printing.

Are your prints signed or numbered?

At this time, all my artwork on this site is open edition. That means they are not signed and numbered. This helps keep your costs down considerably. You can expect to pay up to 10 times more for my limited edition pieces.

Can I order a custom size not listed?

Absolutely!

Seriously, these days, almost anything is possible in our amazing digital printing world.

Paper prints and canvas prints can be printed up to 60" on the long side.

If you are looking for larger sizes, for a wall mural for example, please reach out to me so we can discuss the details and I can work up an estimate for you.

Can I order a different substrate like acrylic or metal prints?

Absolutely!

I can print on many different substrates so just let me know what you are looking for and I can work up an estimate for you and create a custom order.

Do the prints come framed or unframed?

All prints and canvases are unframed. Any images you see with frames are for inspiration.

Can I order my print framed?

If you are interested in framing, please reach out to me so we can discuss further. I can show you framing options, then work up mockups for the artwork you are interested in so you can see exactly what it will look like before you buy.

What is your return/exchange policy?

I want every customer completely satisfied so if you are not, for any reason, just email me and we can do a return or an exchange. For more details about the process, please see my Refund Policy.

How accurate are the colors in my print compared to what I see on my screen?

I've been taking my images to print for 40+ years (yep, I started printing when I was 12) so I know what I'm doing on my end. I work on very expensive, color calibrated monitors to ensure that what I am seeing on my screen will match my prints.

That being said, most customers are not using calibrated screens and therefore you might see a color shift when you get your print in person.

If you have a newer phone, you are good to go. Those screens are beautiful.

If you have a newish Apple laptop, that should be fine for color rendition.

If you are viewing this website on a 10 year old PC that was $150, you will never know what the real colors are on any websites, not just mine.

Also, if you adjusted your screen from default settings, there might be a slight variation as well.

But don't worry, if you get your artwork and are unhappy with it for any reason, just email me to make things right.

Can I order a custom crop to an image?

Working on a project that needs a custom crop to an image? Awesome, shoot me an email and I can create some mockups up for you.

Can I order a digital version of your artwork?

Unfortunately not.

In order to protect my quality and my copyright, I do not offer high resolution digital downloads at this time.

When will I get my print or canvas?

We ship Monday-Friday, not on the weekends. How quickly you get your artwork, depends on your location, federal holidays, and weather.

I've had customers that get my prints in 3 days. Then I have customers who get my prints in 2 weeks.

Please allow two full weeks, 14 days to get your order.

If you need your print faster than that, please email me before placing your order so that we can work out your shipping options.

Can I track my order?

Yes.

As soon as you place your order, you will receive a confirmation email.

As soon as your order is shipped you will receive another email with your tracking information and an estimated delivery date.

What if my print arrives damaged?

No worries, if this happens, and no matter how well we pack our prints, things can happen that are out of our control.

Take some pictures of the damage, email them to me, so that I can figure out if it happened in shipping or production.

I will immediately ship out a replacement order at no cost to you.

You can read more details here on my Refund Policy page.

How should I care for my artwork?

Treat any piece of artwork with care.

This means don't hang the art in direct sunlight or in areas that have high heat and high humidity.

If you do want to buy art for your bathroom that has a shower, I would suggest a canvas print over a paper print as paper prints can pucker in the frame from the humidity.

You can read more details here on my Print Info page.

Do you take commission work?

Yes, I do!

I've been a commercial photographer for over 30 years so every job is a custom project. I've shot 1000's of jobs.

If you have a special project you are interested in, just email me so we can discuss what you are looking for.

ABOUT CHRISTINA

Hello and welcome to my fine art world! I'm so glad you're here.

I've been doing photography since I was about 8 years old. My mom would take me to the beautiful Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA when I was little and that started my love for flowers.

I have two photography degrees and my 2nd degree took me to Los Angeles where I had a very successful commercial photography studio for several decades in the Marina Del Rey area.

I sold my first fine art photography print when I was 16 and while I was doing commercial photography I was lucky to do a ton of floral photography for many clients over the years.

In 2020 my husband and I moved back to my home town of Newark, Delaware to take care of my aging parents.

Now I am working on my fine art photography full time. Please let me know if you have any questions at all about my art or ordering products. cp@christinapetersfineart.com
